On Saturday June 18, 2022, New Music NOW organizes the first Composer's Day. A celebration of new music.

We believe that talent development is very important. That is why we are very proud to announce that we have entered into a partnership with the Princess Christina Competition.

Friday 20 May and Sunday 22 May we will be playing our last Matangi Moments weekend of this season and we have something very special in store for you. In the program 'Beethoven vs Piazzolla' these two composers who do not always color within the musical lines and who do not allow themselves to be tamed by musical rules are being played.

This year we again received a large number of photos of the Tulipa Matangi in bloom. Of course this is a fantastic way to stay in touch with our audience even more, but it is also just great fun to view all those different photos. That is why we have created a page on our site where a large part of these photos can be seen so that everyone can enjoy them.

Outcast got a really nice review in Dutch paper: Dagblad van het Noorden. The maximum score of 5 stars was awarded.

First of three releases on Spotify went online today. Today Alfred Schnittke's third string quartet has been added to the Spotify release radar.

Recently there was another great review about our album Outcast. This time on Musicweb International by Dominy Clements.  “This is a top notch release in every way."

On Sunday Matangi will be a guest in the Podium Witteman program (Dutch Television), where we will play a piece of the first string quartet by the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov.

What else than a positive feedback could you expect from the online blog and forum 'Posi+ive Feedback', but to be compared with the benchmark recording of the Borodin Quartet is a different story.

In the last lockdown, we commissioned good friend and artist Gerard de Bruyne to make twelve drawings for a set of postcards. The result is 12 postcards in a beautifully designed folder. To send, give or treasure.

Benefit concert - In Ukrain an immense tragedy is unfolding before the eyes of the world. Together with Korzo, Matangi donates the entire ticket revenue of the presentation concert of the new album Outcast to Stichting Vluchteling.
