Stop de Tijd

Pianist Martin Fondse (Composer Laureate) and vocalist Margriet Sjoerdsma, together with poet Vrouwkje Tuinman and Matangi, are creating a performance about the human tendency to want to bend the world and time to our will. Stop de Tijd is a mix of pure chamber music, a touch of jazz and a nod to gospel. With moving poems by Vrouwkje Tuinman told by Vrouwkje herself.

Stop de Tijd is a poetic music performance with songs that move from small and intimate to grand, orchestral and epic. Everyday subjects are sung about, but improbable and absurd matters are also in the spotlight.
